The use of A.I. can personalize course material based on students’ knowledge gaps, skills and learning styles.
A.I. can be used to restore old learning materials. Historical documents, images, and videos that are antiquated or of inferior quality can all benefit from the use of generative AI.
Is artificial intelligence affecting education in our world?
Students commonly use ChatGPT and other AI Chatbots to assist in their educational assignments. Instructors that I’ve interviewed say it is the new tutor. It’s challenging for the teachers to know if students are actually learning the content taught or if they are using A.I. to complete their work. Testing of actual knowledge can be done in the classroom by “old-fashioned” means of pencil and paper, without electronic devises at the ready.
There are programs in use to score and determine if A.I. was used in composing assignments. We’ll be doing a full review on several scoring applications in the next several weeks. Contact us for further information.
A.I. is now a part of the teaching process. Just like the introduction of the Internet to schools in the 90’s, online information gathering using Artificial Intelligence is almost standard these days. It’s built into our browsers, desktops and mobile devices. Part of the instruction is to introduce A.I. programs and responsible use of the technologies.
The students of today are going to need the A.I. experience as they venture into the current work environment. It is not that Artificial Intelligence will dumb-down our next generation of leaders. There is always a need to feed A.I. with code, instruction and information. The trick will be to stay as intelligent as the Artificial Intelligence out there, constantly pursuing and exploring new ideas and information.
